Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 Regular Boiler - Review
In this review, we’ll give you a full rundown of the Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 to help you decide whether it’s the right regular boiler for your home.
But first, here’s a little introduction to Vaillant, the brand behind the boiler. Vaillant is a German manufacturer that has been around since 1874. Over the years, they’ve built up a reputation for excellence and are known for some incredible industry inventions, including the combi boiler, in the early 1960s. Today, they are one of the leading boiler manufacturers in Europe, along with Worcester Bosch, a UK company you may have heard of. Choose a Vaillant boiler for reliability, first-class engineering and total peace of mind.
Ready to find out more about the Vaillant 415 and what it’s got to offer? Let’s get started.
Will the Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 be suitable for my home?
The Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 is suitable for small to medium-sized homes with one bathroom. Its 15kW output will heat up to ten radiators, so it’s worth doing a quick count up to see if it’ll match your needs. As the Vaillant ecoFit Pure is a regular boiler, it will need a hot water cylinder and loft tank. There are a lot of different cylinders that are compatible with the ecoFit Pure 415, including the popular Megaflo cylinder range from Heatrae Sadia.
One of the key benefits of installing a conventional boiler like the Vaillant 415 is that it can produce constant hot water. This means you’ll get hot water to a number of taps, without having to wait. Another key benefit is that it is compatible with both solar and heat pump systems, giving you the option to reduce your carbon footprint and enjoy lower energy costs.
The Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 has a high-spec aluminium casing, designed for easy maintenance and a long lifespan. It’s also been awarded the Quiet Mark for innovative noise reduction, so you can install it in highly populated areas of your home, without having to worry about noise disturbance.
For those with over 10 radiators, the 15kW output may not be sufficient. However, the ecoFit Pure regular boiler is also available with 18kW, 25kW, 30kW and 35kW outputs, which may be more suited to your needs.
For comparison with an alternative brand, we’d suggest looking at the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 15Ri. It’s a similar size to the ecoFit Pure and also has a central heating output of 15kW.
Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 Regular Controls
The Vaillant Pure regular boiler has basic controls, including a clear LED display, pressure gauge and reset button. It also complies with Boiler Plus regulations, with switches that allow you to alter the temperature of your central heating and hot water.
For greater control over your heating system, we highly recommend pairing your boiler with a smart thermostat like Nest, Hive or Vaillant’s own vSMART™. These smart devices can be controlled using their respective mobile apps, giving you the freedom to alter your heating and hot water, from any location.
ecoFit Pure 415 Regular Size
The compact size of the Vaillant ecoFit Pure makes it attractive to those with limited space in their home. It measures 602x375x295mm and has been designed to fit ‘the average kitchen cupboard.’ As kitchen cupboards do vary in shape and size, we’d always recommend measuring up first. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
Another selling point of the Pure 415 is its flexible rear flue option. This gives you more choice as to where your boiler is installed.
Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 Regular Warranty
All Vaillant boiler installations carried out by our Gas Safe engineers will come with a free 5-year warranty. We can double this to 10 years for a small extra charge.

ecoFit Pure 415 Energy Efficiency
We’re pleased to say that with an ErP rating (previously known as SEDBUK) of 89.1%, the ecoFit Pure 415 is a very energy-efficient boiler. If you’re not sure what all that means, basically ErP stands for Energy-related Products and is a system used to rate the energy efficiency of boilers. An 89.1% ErP is an A rating, which as you’ve probably guessed, is one of the best you can get. So should you swap an old boiler (with a lower ErP) for the 415 with its A-rating, you should see lower energy bills soon.
Verdict - Is the Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 Regular the best boiler for your home?
If you are looking to replace your old, inefficient regular boiler with a new, energy efficient model, the Vaillant ecoFit Pure 415 will make a great choice. With the power to heat up to 10 radiators, it should satisfy the needs of a small to medium household. However, those with more than 10 radiators will undoubtedly require a higher central heating output.
The Vaillant ecoFit Pure’s excellent ErP rating, coupled with its flexibility to be used with a solar or heat pump system, makes it an environmentally sound choice. Along with reducing your carbon footprint, the 415 also offers the opportunity to lower your heating bills. That’s good news for the environment and good news for you!
It’s a great regular boiler from a brand you can trust, and for smaller households, it’s sure to tick all the boxes.
