Appliance cover allows you to organise a repair and avoid unexpected costs when something breaks. It’s worth noting that brand new appliances usually come with a standard warranty (mostly 1 year but please check your documents), if there is an activity warranty you may not need appliance cover but check your appliances terms to be sure.

What appliances does Hometree cover?
Hometree offers cover for your cooker, hob, oven, cooker hood, microwave, tumble dryer, washer dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and fridge freezer
Is there an age limit for an appliance to be covered?
We are unable to cover any appliances over 10 years old or appliances which were bought second hand or at auction
Is there a call out fee / excess when I make a claim?
our callout fee will change depending on the time of the claim and age of appliance as follows:
Claims within the first 45 days of the policy – £250 excess fee.
Claims after the first 45 days of the policy – no excess where the appliance is under 6 years old. A £60 excess is charged where the appliance is 6 years old or above.
What happens if my appliance can’t be repaired?
Our engineers will always do their best to fix your appliances but in cases where this is not possible or the appliance is deemed beyond economic repair then depending on the age of your appliance we will offer a like-for-like replacement. The contribution Hometree makes towards this replacement will be based on the value of your appliance and up to a maximum limit of £500 contribution. Delivery, installation and removal costs of appliances are not included.
Do I need proof of purchase?
Yes, please ensure you have proof of purchase as there may be occasions when we request this from you.
How do I make a claim?
If you’re a Hometree customer, book online here. We’ll arrange for an engineer to check your appliance and find the problem.
There’s no limit to the number of claims you can make or the number of times you can call an engineer out.
Are the contents of or fridge/freezer covered with Appliance insurance?
Our appliance cover policy does not include cover for the contents of your fridge/freezer
