GreenGenUK has secured 3rd place nationally for Renewable Heating Installer of the Year at the 2025 Energy Efficiency Awards.

IMS Heat Pumps Wins “Heat Pump Project of the Year”

IMS Heat Pumps’ winning project — Stillwaters — demonstrates what is possible when cutting-edge engineering meets environmentally sensitive design.

The system uses a Nuenta Energy Blade, drawing heat from an underground mine-water flow. This approach eliminates the need for boreholes and enables a discreet, low-impact installation within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Combined with a NIBE S1155 heat pump and low-temperature underfloor heating, the installation is achieving an exceptional SCOP of 6.2 — far exceeding typical performance expectations.

Judges praised the project as:
“An outstanding and forward-thinking heat pump solution demonstrating high innovation and sustainability. Strong design tailored to UK conditions.”
This is a milestone achievement for the IMS team and further reinforces their reputation as leaders in both ground and air source heat pump engineering across the North of England and Scotland.

GreenGenUK Achieves Top 3 National Installer Recognition

Just days earlier, GreenGenUK earned 3rd place for National Renewable Heating Installer of the Year, representing the South West on the national stage.

The judges recognised GreenGenUK for:

In addition, Cameron Brown from the GreenGen team secured 3rd place for National Apprentice of the Year, highlighting the incredible talent emerging across the group.
