Vaillant ecoTec Plus 415 Controls

The ecoTec Plus 415 has a basic control panel, with a large backlit display screen for easy viewing. There you’ll see the boiler’s current operation mode and be alerted to any faults. Use the push-buttons to increase and reduce the temperature settings.

Today all boilers must be compliant with the Boiler Plus regulations, introduced in April 2018. An easy way to ensure the Vaillant ecoTec Plus 415 is compliant is to link it with a smart thermostat. There are several options available, including the Vaillant vSMART thermostat from the brand itself, as well as third-party smart thermostats, like the highly sought after Nest and Hive.

Vaillant ecoTec Plus 415 Regular Size

The Vaillant ecoTec Plus 415 measures 600x375x316mm. It’s fairly compact in size and has a lightweight design, so there may be the possibility of installing it in a kitchen cupboard. The only way to know is to measure up the cupboard you have available and see if it’ll fit.

Vaillant ecoTec 415 Energy Efficiency

All boilers must now have an ErP (Energy-related Product) rating, which tells you how energy efficient they are. This was previously known as SEDBUK. The idea is that if you replace an old, inefficient boiler, with a lower ErP rating, for a model with a better ErP, you’ll reduce your carbon footprint, whilst also benefiting from lower energy costs.
