Hometree and Wolseley announce exclusive long-term partnership to bring servicing and maintenance to the UK’s installer community
Launching today at InstallerSHOW 2026, the partnership enables Wolseley’s 100,000+ installers to offer homeowners a Hometree servicing and maintenance plan alongside every heat pump and boiler installation
BIRMINGHAM, 24 JUNE 2026 — Hometree, the UK insurance and home services company, and Wolseley Group, the UK’s largest specialist plumbing, heating and cooling merchant, today have announced the launch of a long-term, exclusive strategic partnership that will bring professional servicing and maintenance to homeowners across the UK, delivered through the engineers who install their heating systems.
The partnership, launching on day one of InstallerSHOW 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, enables installers purchasing equipment through Wolseley’s Renewables Centre’s nationwide network to offer homeowners a Hometree servicing and maintenance plan alongside their heat pump or boiler installation. For every homeowner who activates a plan following a referral, the installer earns a fee. As a launch incentive, the first 100 engineers to complete a verified referral will receive an enhanced reward.

Solving a gap at the heart of the UK’s energy transition
The partnership was born from a straightforward insight: while many installers want to install heat pumps, far fewer want to build and operate a servicing business around them. Yet if the UK is serious about decarbonising home heating, ensuring consumers have confidence that their system will be supported long after installation day is essential.
“This partnership began with a conversation with Dan Marsden at Wolseley, who put his finger on something important,” said Simon Phelan, Founder and CEO of Hometree. “Installers are brilliant at what they do. What they shouldn’t have to do is also become a servicing and maintenance business. By bringing Hometree and Wolseley Group together, we’re giving every installer in Wolseley’s network a way to offer that ongoing support to homeowners — simply and professionally, without the operational complexity. The homeowner gets expert servicing for the lifetime of their system. The installer earns for a referral they’re already best placed to make.”
Dan Marsden, Director of Renewables, Wolseley Group, said: “Our customers are always looking for ways to add value to the homeowners they work with. This scheme makes that straightforward: a quick referral, a meaningful reward, and a homeowner who knows their heating system is in expert hands for the long term. Wolseley is investing heavily in the infrastructure needed to support the energy transition through Renewables Centre. This follows the launch of RenewablesPro, a free support system for installers working in renewables, and this partnership is a natural extension of that commitment.”
The scale of the opportunity
Wolseley Group operates 650 branches across the UK, employs 5,000 colleagues and serves more than 100,000 installer customers. Through its Renewables Centres, training programmes, MCS support services and fulfilment network, Wolseley Group is already helping thousands of installers transition into low-carbon heating.
Hometree has built one of the UK’s leading home servicing and maintenance platforms, covering everything from boilers and heat pumps to solar, batteries and other residential energy assets. Bringing these two capabilities together creates a direct channel from installation to ongoing care at scale.
The Climate Change Committee estimates that the UK will need to install 1.5 million heat pumps annually by 2035 to meet its net-zero ambitions. Achieving that will require more than equipment, training and supply chains. It will also require trusted long-term servicing and maintenance support for homeowners — and the confidence that expert help is always available when they need it.
How it works
Once an installer becomes a RenewablesPro member and enrols onto Service & Maintenance referral scheme, they will receive a unique referral code. After completing an installation, the homeowner will be sent a handover pack, including the installer’s unique code and QR. When the homeowner signs up to a Hometree servicing and maintenance plan, the referral is automatically verified and the installer reward is credited.
The process takes seconds. No paperwork. No chasing.
