This document covers all Hometree gift card promotions. Find the section that applies to how you received your offer.

About your Hometree gift card
When you qualify for a Hometree gift card promotion, we send you a digital gift card as a thank-you. Your gift card is delivered via Runa, an independent digital gift card platform. Redeemable with a wide panel of brands across retail, dining, entertainment, and home including over 50 options at the time of publication. The brands available on Runa may change over time; Hometree does not guarantee that any specific brand, or the current number of available brands, will still be available when you come to redeem your gift card.
The panel means you can split your gift card value across more than one brand. For example, a £40 gift card could be split as £20 at one retailer and £20 at another.

At the bottom of this page sets out the specific terms for each relevant channel.
Universal terms — covering redemption, restrictions, our rights, and regulatory information — are in Sections 1 to 7 below and apply to everyone.
Terms that apply to everyone
The following sections apply to all gift card promotions, regardless of the channel through which you received your offer.
1. Receiving your gift card
Your gift card will be sent to the email address registered on your Hometree account between 30 and 60 days after your contract start date (or, for multi-property landlord promotions, after the contract start date for the qualifying additional property).
For your gift card to be issued, your policy must be active and all payments must be up to date at the time of issue. You do not need to do anything to claim your gift card — it will be sent to you automatically via the email address you provided.

2. Redeeming your gift card
When your gift card is ready, you will receive an email containing a link to the Runa platform. From there you can:
- browse the brands currently available on Runa;
- choose one brand or split your gift card value across several brands; and
- redeem your chosen gift card directly through the Runa platform.
Your use of the Runa platform is subject to Runa’s own terms and conditions, which will be shown to you within the platform before you redeem. Please read these before proceeding. Hometree is not responsible for the operation of the Runa platform or any issues arising from its use.
The brands available on Runa may change over time and are not controlled by Hometree. Hometree does not guarantee the availability of any specific brand at the time you come to redeem.
3. What your gift card cannot be used for
Your gift card:
- cannot be exchanged for cash;
- cannot be used to reduce or offset your Hometree plan price, call-out fee, or any other charges;
- cannot be transferred, sold, or given to another person; and
- is subject to any expiry period set by Runa or the individual brand you choose to redeem with.
4. Our rights
- We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any promotion at any time. Changes will not affect gift cards already issued to eligible customers.
- We reserve the right to verify your eligibility and may withhold or withdraw a gift card if you are found to be ineligible or in breach of these terms.
- We may take action against anyone who attempts to manipulate or abuse a promotion, including referring suspected fraud to the relevant authorities.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue to apply in full.
5. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

- How this promotion works
If you purchased your Hometree cover plan through a price comparison website the gift card offer was displayed to you as part of the plan details on that platform. No discount code is required. Your gift card will be issued automatically once you are confirmed as eligible.

- Who is eligible
To receive a gift card under this promotion you must:
- be a new Hometree customer purchasing a qualifying cover plan for the first time;
- have purchased your plan through the comparison website during the promotion period shown on that website;
- be a resident of mainland UK and aged 18 or over;
- not be purchasing an Essentials plan; and
- have an active policy with all payments up to date when your gift card is issued.
You are not eligible if you are an existing Hometree customer, if your cover plan has been cancelled or is in arrears at the time of issue, or if you have already received a gift card under a current Hometree promotion.
- Your gift card value:
Receive a gift card worth £20-£40 when you take out a Hometree cover plan from one of the above websites. Your gift card value will depend on the plan you choose, full details are set out in the applicable terms and conditions of each partner.

Your choice of call-out fee (£0, £60 or £95) affects your plan price but does not affect your gift card value.

- Promotion period
The promotion period for your comparison website purchase will have been shown to you on the comparison platform at the time of purchase. Your cover plan must have been purchased and your contract commenced within that period.

- One gift card per cover plan
Only one gift card is available per qualifying plan purchased. This promotion cannot be combined with any other Hometree discount, offer, or promotion.
Section B — Your purchased through a Hometree Partner
- Receiving your gift card

- How this promotion works
If you received a Hometree gift card offer through one of our B2B partners, the offer was communicated to you through that partner’s platform or communications. No discount code is required. Your gift card will be issued automatically once you are confirmed as eligible.
- Who is eligible
To receive a gift card under this promotion you must:
- be a new Hometree customer purchasing a qualifying plan for the first time;
- have accessed the offer through the Hometree partner named in the promotion during the promotion period;
- be a resident of mainland UK and aged 18 or over;
- not be purchasing an Essentials plan; and
- have an active policy with all payments up to date when your gift card is issued.
You are not eligible if you are an existing Hometree customer, if your plan has been cancelled or is in arrears at the time of issue, or if you have already received a gift card under a current Hometree promotion.
- Your gift card value
The gift card amount for partner promotions varies and will have been confirmed to you in the partner’s communications or platform at the point of purchase.
Essentials plans are not included, unless an exclusive promotion is running.

Section C — You purchased your first cover plan directly with the Hometree sales team

If you purchased your plan by speaking directly with the Hometree sales team (by phone or email), your sales agent will have confirmed the applicable gift card offer to you at the point of sale. No discount code is required. Your gift card will be issued automatically once you are confirmed as eligible, and will be issued to you via the email address you have provided.
- Who is eligible
To receive a gift card under this promotion you must:
- be a new Hometree customer purchasing a qualifying plan for the first time;
- have purchased your plan directly through the Hometree sales team during the promotion period;
- be a resident of mainland UK and aged 18 or over;
- not be purchasing an Essentials plan; and
- have an active policy with all payments up to date when your gift card is issued.
You are not eligible if you are an existing Hometree customer, if your plan has been cancelled or is in arrears at the time of issue, or if you have already received a gift card under a current Hometree promotion.
If your sales agent confirmed a different amount, for example as part of a time-limited offer, that amount applies.
Essentials plans are not included.

If you received a promotional email from Hometree or our authorised email partner Inbox Insights, the email will have contained either:
- a personalised link directing you to the offer; or
- a unique discount code to be applied at checkout.
The email will have made clear which method applies. If a discount code was provided, it must have been entered at checkout for the promotion to be valid. If a personalised link was provided, no code is required — clicking the link activates the offer.

- Who is eligible
To receive a gift card under this promotion you must:
- have received a promotional email from Hometree or Inbox Insights specifically advertising this offer;
- be a new Hometree customer purchasing a qualifying plan for the first time;
- have purchased your plan during the promotion period stated in the email;
- be a resident of mainland UK and aged 18 or over;
- not be purchasing an Essentials plan; and
- have an active policy with all payments up to date when your gift card is issued.
You are not eligible if you are an existing Hometree customer, if your plan has been cancelled or is in arrears at the time of issue, or if you have already received a gift card under a current Hometree promotion.
- Your gift card value

- How this promotion works
If you are a Hometree landlord customer and you add additional properties to your account through the Hometree sales team, you will receive a gift card for each qualifying additional property. The amount depends on how many additional properties you add.
- Who is eligible
To receive a gift card under this promotion you must:
- be an existing Hometree landlord customer (Essentials plan customers, Appliances, EV Charger, EV Charger and Home Electrics are not eligible);
- be adding a new qualifying additional property to your account through the Hometree sales team, a ‘new qualifying additional property’ meets all of the listed requirements of ‘who is eligible’ in Section F.
- be a resident of mainland UK and aged 18 or over; and
- have an active policy for the additional property with all payments up to date when your gift card is issued.
A gift card will not be issued for a property if the plan for that property is cancelled or falls into arrears before the gift card is issued.
- Your gift card value

Gift card values are per qualifying additional property added to your account, not per landlord account overall.
All call-out fee options (£0, £60 or £95) are eligible. Your choice of call-out fee does not affect your gift card value.
Essentials plans are not eligible.
- Promotion period
This promotion is available to new customers until further notice. Hometree reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time. Where practicable, at least 7 days’ prior notice of withdrawal will be published at https://www.hometree.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/promotions/

One gift card is issued per qualifying additional property. This promotion cannot be combined with any other Hometree discount, offer, or promotion.

If your gift card was issued by Hometree as a goodwill gesture, as part of a retention offer, or as compensation, the value and timing will have been agreed and confirmed to you directly by the Hometree team. There is no specific promotion period for ad-hoc gift cards.
